"Twilight Time" is a popular song.

The lyrics were written by Buck Ram, the music was written in 1944 by the Three Suns (Morty Nevins, Al Nevins and Artie Dunn). Original hits included the Three Suns and Les Brown. Radio stations of the era signed off by playing the song.

It has been recorded by numerous acts over the years. However, the best known version of the song was recorded by The Platters and became a #1 hit for them in 1958 in the United States. The song also reached #3 in the United Kingdom. In 1963, the Platters recorded a Spanish version of the song entitled "La Hora del Crepúsculo", sung in a rhumba-style tempo.

Cultural references

Stephen King wrote a story titled "Heavenly Shades of Night are Falling," a reference to the song.
