- Striplin Gym
Striplin Gym was a 2,500 seat multi-purpose
arena inNashville, Tennessee , named forLarry D. Striplin, Jr., the first basketball coach at Belmont College. It opened in1964 . It was home to theBelmont University Bruinsbasketball team. Striplin Gym was demolished in2001 to make room for its replacement, theCurb Event Center , which opened in2003 . In the time between, Belmont hosted the majority of its men's basketball games atNashville Municipal Auditorium , but a select few, as well as the majority of the women's games, were played at Aquinas College.
