Florida agronomist in the early twentieth century. He directed theFlorida Agriculture Experiment Station from 1905 to 1920, and from 1915 to 1920 served as the Dean of the College of Agriculture at theUniversity of Florida . Rolfs then moved toBrazil to found theUniversidade Federal de Vi%C3%A7osa inVi%C3%A7osa ,Minas Gerais .Rolfs was the first to describe a common plant pathogen called
