electric guitar made bySquier , the lower-cost manufacturing arm of Fender, and is a direct reproduction of theFender Cyclone guitar. In the Squier product range, the instrument is in the "Vintage Modified" series.
The Cyclone body is similarly styled to the Mustang but with a significantly different specification.
Electronics-wise, the Cyclone most resembles the Fender hybrid guitar, the
Jag-Stang ; Mustangs are manufactured with two single-coil pickups. However it is not possible to switch the pickups on the Cyclone to an out-of-phase setting without modification. The Cyclone has a scale of 24.75 inches, the same as a
Gibson Les Paul but an unusual intermediate size for Fender, and aStratocaster style "synchronized tremolo".The Cyclone is not found in the 2007 Fender catolog and has been confirmed discontinued.
