Jedburgh Castle Jail

Jedburgh Castle Jail

A large gaol built in the early 19th century on the site of a former castle. The castle was destroyed by the Scots people themselves to stop it falling into the hands of the English.

No longer used as a gaol it now is a popular tourist attraction.
