Kieron Quirke

Kieron Quirke is a writer,journalist,musician and theatre critic residing in Los Angeles, California. Quirke was educated at King Edward's School, Birmingham and attended Merton College, Oxford where he was notable for his activities in theatre and journalism.He was Vice-President of the Oxford Union and left with a Double First in Greats.

FT Young Critic of the Year in 2003,he writes on the theatre for the "Evening Standard", having also written for "The Times" [http://www.timesonline.co.uk/article/0,,7-1438592,00.html] , "Time Out", and "The Metro".

Quirke also writes for television with young surrealist playwright Robin French. Their output has included episodes of children's drama "I Dream", which starred members of the band S Club 8, and most recently work for the comedy sketch show, "Man Stroke Woman" [ [http://www.bbc.co.uk/comedy/guide/articles/m/manstrokewoman_1444100306.shtml BBC - Comedy - Shows A-Z Index ] ] and sitcom pilot "Bash" [ [http://www.adambromley.com/cv.php Cv | Adam Bromley ] ] , both aired on BBC Three. "Bash" was directed by Dominic Brigstocke and produced by Adam Bromley.

Quirke and French are currently working on "Roommates", a new sitcom scheduled to air on ABC Family in 2009. Their drama Trinity will appear on British television early in the New Year. Each has, in his own right, been nominated amongst the Hot Shot Writers of 2008 by "Broadcast" magazine.
