John Rigby (politician)

Sir John Rigby, QC, PC, (8 January 1834 – 26 July 1903), was a British lawyer and Member of Parliament (MP).

Rigby was Liberal MP for Wisbech from 1885 to 1886.In 1892 he was elected for Forfarshire and held his seat until 1894.

He was Solicitor General for England and Wales from 1892 to 1894 and Attorney General for England and Wales from 3 May 1894 to 24 October. In the same year Rigby was elevated to the Privy council.
