- Baron Basset
The title Baron Basset, of Stratton, co.
Cornwall , was created in thePeerage of Great Britain in 1797 for Francis Basset, who had already been created Baron de Dunstanville a year earlier and abaronet in 1779. The 1797 creation was able to pass through the female line and did so, to his daughter, on his death in 1835.
