Tezukayama University

. Tezukayama University has two campuses--one in Higashi Ikoma 東生駒 and the other in Gakuenmae 学園前. Tezukayama University has many facilities in a beautiful historical setting.

In 1961, Tezukayama Junior College was established with an Art Department and a Home-Life Economics Department. In 1964, Tezukayama Junior College was established as a Liberal Arts College and renamed Tezukayama University. In 1982, the Tezukayama Archaeological Institute was installed.

In 1991, The school's first graduate program, the Economics Research Department, was formed. Other departments followed and higher degrees were offered, such as a Humanities Department Ph.D. in 1998. A notable graduate program in the Humanities Department at Tezukayama University is that of Traditional Japanese Culture. Both M.A. and Ph.D. degrees are offered by this program. The Law Department Ph.D. program was launched in 2001. New departments have been established as recently as 2006, such as the Business Law Department.
