"Parachute", released in 1970 is the Pretty Things' fifth studio album, following "S.F. Sorrow" and preceding "Freeway Madness".

The reviews at time of release were very positive, with "Rolling Stone" naming it the best album of 1970, over "Let it Be" by the Beatles, "Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs" by Derek and the Dominoes, "Morrison Hotel" by the Doors, "Pearl" by Janis Joplin, "After the Gold Rush" by Neil Young, "Moondance" by Van Morrison, and "Bridge over Troubled Water" by Simon and Garfunkel.

Musicians involved are Phil May, Wally Waller, John Povey, Vic Unitt.

The record was later packaged together with "S.F. Sorrow" as a double LP. In Canada, this album was on Motown Records.
