Inspired by
Franz Kafka 's story "In the Penal Colony", the film is an attempt To transfer Kafka's dark, nightmarish vision and gloomy atmosphere to celluloid. The visuals are the work of music video cinematographer James Hawkinson. The 3D animation for the film was created by Robert Beebe. Shot in 35mm grainy black and white, the film features dark and surreal visuals. This eighteen-minute work features a dark ambient soundscape by musician and sound designerLustmord (also known as Brian Williams) and was released on DVD [http://www.soleilmoon.com/store/pressdetail.lasso?release=32967] in2005 by Soleilmoon Recordings.References
