7 June 1962 ) is a Britishcomedian most famous for his roles in thesketch show "TheFast Show ",sitcom "Grass" and a series of comedicadvert s forPowergen . He has appeared on the 2004 Christmas episode ofEastEnders as a taxi driver. He has also appeared in "Run Fatboy Run " as a wicked man in the card playing scene.Simon rose to fame as a stand up comic, winning the
Time Out new act of the year in 1991 with his legendary music hall character Tommy Cockles. He then appeared on theBBC One show Paramount City as a weekly guest. He continued working live all over England before joining up withVic Reeves andBob Mortimer for two tours and two series of Big Night Out.
