"Sonic Firestorm" is the second studio album by English power metal band DragonForce, released through Noise Records on May 11, 2004. Prior to the release of Ultra Beatdown, it contained both the longest and shortest released DragonForce songs not including the 14 second intro track on "Valley of the Damned", "Soldiers of the Wasteland" and "Dawn over a New World" respectively. The shortest song is now "Strike Of The Ninja", though Soldiers of the Wasteland remains the longest Dragonforce Song.

Critical acclaim

The album was stated as the 2nd best "Battle Metal" album of the last 20 years by British metal magazine Metal Hammer in its 20th anniversary article.
