Tsujii Takashi, 辻井喬, (March 30, 1927 - ) is a
Japan ese author and poet, and the pen name of Tsutsumi Seiji, a major business leader.Tsujii is the son of
Yasujiro Tsutsumi , founder of theSeibu Railway company and a long-serving member, and eventually speaker, of Japan's House of Representatives. He was born inTokyo and, after receiving his degree in economics from theUniversity of Tokyo in 1951, began work as a secretary to his father. He took on a series of executive roles, culminating in corporate leadership, including serving as chairman of the Saison group of companies, whose brands includeSeibu Department Stores , Seiyū supermarket, Wave (a music shop),Parco (shopping complex) and Loft (a variety store).In addition to his business career, Tsujii has also had a notable career as writer and poet under his pen name, and has served as Director of
International PEN Club, Japan. His work has been translated into Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Korean, and Russian.Prizes
