As a teenager, Morrison appeared in the movie as a street hockey player.

As a professional, Morrison spent four seasons with the Manitoba Moose of the AHL, and a season with the Chicago Wolves of the same league. Morrison's first season in the Swedish Elitserien (SEL) was with MODO Hockey, where he had 28 points in 34 games (18 goals, 10 assists), +9 rating, and helped lead MODO to an SEL Championship.
