George Tomlinson "Dandy" McLean (born May 26 1943 in Paisley, Scotland) is a Scottish former professional footballer. He played as a centre-forward.
Born to Andy and Mary McLean, at the age of five George attended Carbrok Street Primary School, where he kindled an interest in football. As he grew older, his talent was recognised and his sporting career began at the tender age of fifteen when he joined a small football club called Drumchapel Amateurs. A year later, in 1959, he was offered a position with St. Mirren.
He joined Rangers from St. Mirren in 1962 for a then-Scottish-record fee of £27,500. He remained at Ibrox for five years, winning the league championship four times in five years, including the treble in 1964. He played for Dundee F.C., Dunfermline Athletic F.C., Ayr United F.C. and Hamilton Academical F.C. before retiring through injury in 1976.
McLean now lives in Sydney, Australia, with his children and eight grandchildren.
