7 April 1961 ) is an Italianentrepreneur and apolitician .Biography
Santanchè was born in
Cuneo ,Piedmont . After studyingpolitical science s she founded a society that focused onmarketing in 1990. In 1995 she joined the political partyAlleanza Nazionale (AN). While with AN, she became an advisor of the committee inMilan , led byGabriele Albertini , while during June 1999 she became an advisor of the committee in theprovince of Milan.In 2001 she ran for a seat in the
Italian Chamber of Deputies : she lost, but when her colleagueViviana Beccalossi decided to give up her seat, she was given a chance to have a place (11 July 2001 ). From 2003 to June 2004 she was the "assessore comunale" ofRagalna , a city in the province ofCatania .In 2005 she became notorious because of her use of the

22 October 2006 , while she was participating in a live show, «Controcorrente», to discuss matters regarding the Islamic veil, she was criticized by theImam ofSegrate .
