Saint Charles Senior High School (SCHS) is one of two high schools (the other being Saint Charles West High School) providing education for grades 9-12 in the School District of the City of Saint Charles in Saint Charles, Missouri.
Education
Currently, the 88 teachers of SCHS educate approximately 1,000 students--a student to teacher ratio of 11:1. The School District of the City of Saint Charles states that, historically, its students score above national averages on the ACT and Missouri Assessment Program (MAP). SCHS is also known as "Missouri's first Renaissance school." The Renaissance Program awards students with gifts (t-shirts, letters for letterman jackets, etc) when students achieve a 3.0 average or higher.Adding to this, SCHS has also been designated as an A+ School. The A+ Program awards students attaining higher than a 2.5 cumulative GPA, maintaining a 95% attendance record, tutoring for 50 hours, and keeping a good record of citizenship throughout high school two years of financial assistance to any number of area community colleges.
