Ice Track

Ice Track

The Ice Track was a proposed 6,500-seat multi-purpose arena / Harness Racing track in Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada that never got past the planning stages. It was due to be open in 2008.The project failed after:

1. Losing the rights to the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks AHL team

2. Failure to acquire land next to the town-owned land

3. Failure to start traffic and other studies done to support re-zonings of the lands needed

4. The city of Windsor breaking ground on their own arena for the Windsor Spitfires the, WFCU_Centre

5. Lack of a "site-holder agreement" between Ice Track and the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Commission (OLG)

6. A general lack of funds to complete the above projects.
