Alfred E. Santangelo

Alfred Edward Santangelo (June 4, 1912 - March 30, 1978) was a Democratic member of the United States House of Representatives from New York.

Santangelo was born in New York City. He graduated from City College of New York in 1935 and Columbia University School of Law in 1938. He served in the New York State Senate from 1947 until 1950 and from 1953 until 1956. He was elected to Congress in 1956 and served from January 3, 1957 until January 3, 1963. After redistricting, due to the 1960 Census, Santangelo ran for re-election in New York's 24th congressional district in 1962 and lost to Republican Paul A. Fino. He died in Orlando, Florida.
