Kalvin Pearson (born October 22, 1978) is an American football safety for the Detroit Lions in the National Football League. He was originally signed by the Cleveland Browns as an undrafted free agent in 2002. He played college football at Grambling.

Pearson has also played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in his career.

Early years

Pearson attended Hazlewood High School in Town Creek, Alabama and was a student and a letterman in football.

College career

Pearson attended Grambling State University after transferring from Morehouse College, lettering in football at Grambling.

Arrest

Pearson was arrested on April 26, 2008 on charges of domestic battery and strangulation against a pregnant woman. But he was later released and was taking part in the team's offseason workout.
