architect who practiced in thePhiladelphia area. While his family was from Philadelphia, he was born inFlorence, Italy . He studied architecture briefly atMIT . He joined the offices ofJames Peacock Sims and later took over the office on Sims’s death in 1892. American Institute of Architects . He also taught at theUniversity of Pennsylvania and was one of the founders of the T Square Club of Philadelphia in 1883.He was editor and founder of "House & Garden" magazine.
