"Glaucium flavum" (Yellow hornpoppy) is an ornamental plant in the Papaveraceae family, which is native to Western Europe. As with all poppies the seeds are edible. [Mears, R. and Hillman, G. C. (2007) Wild food. London, Hodder & Stoughton.] It is a noxious weed in some areas of North America, where it is an introduced species.
