BLT (Baselland transport) is a public transport company in
Basel Switzerland . They operate the more suburban routes and use stock with a yellow and red colour scheme. BLT operates four of the twelve tram lines inBasel the others being operated byBasler Verkehrs-Betriebe (BVB)).BLT also owns the 14 tram line however it is operated by BVB trams. The company also operates manybus routes in and aroundBasel History
BLT was formed in 1974, through the joining together of four tram and railway companies. These were:
