John C. Kornblum

John Christian Kornblum (born February 3 1943, Dearborn, Michigan, USA) is an American Diplomat and Investment banker.Cite web|url=http://www.aicgs.org/analysis/c/kornblum112106.aspx|title=The World Looks Up to the Germans|accessyear=2007|accessmonthday=September 26|publisher=American Institute For Contemporary German Studies|year=2006|author=Ambassador John Kornblum|language=English] He served as the US Ambassador to Germany from September 10, 1997 until January 13, 2001. Kornblum was awarded in 1996 the highest award of an American foreign service officer, the Secretary's award, as well as the Bundesverdienstkreuz, the Österreichischer Verdienstorden and the Honorary Citizenship of Sarajevo.
