FedEx Institute of Technology

The FedEx Institute of Technology is at the University of Memphis. Founded November 19, 2003, under the leadership of James M. Phillips the Institute was designed to bridge the gap between industry and academic research. The Institute is wholly a part of the University of Memphis operating within the framework of the State of Tennessee.

The FedEx Institute of Technology is a cross-cutting research laboratory system created through the vision and philanthropy of the State of Tennessee, FedEx Corporation, the City of Memphis and Shelby County.
