Sons of Butcher is a Canadian rock band consisting of three members, two of whom are brothers. Their music fuses vulgar absurdist comedy with rock music in a style that is described as "mock rock". Their band alter-egos are the focus of an animated television series developed by S&S Productions and aired on Canadian animation network Teletoon. Several of the band's songs were included in the soundtrack for the 2007 film Pigs, along with a cameo by Trevor Ziebarth.

Trivia

*In live performances, the band often performed a cover of "Don't Cha" by The Pussycat Dolls. 2 different videos of it are available on YouTube.
*They have also covered "Holy Diver" by Dio, "Talk Dirty To Me" by Poison as well as many other covers like "Safety Dance" and "Ghostbusters".
* Dave Dunham previously provided drums and vocals for the band Chore prior to their splitting in 2004. He and Trevor worked together to write the music for the animated series.
* In the animated series there is no steady drummer, perhaps as a reference to "This Is Spinal Tap". The band has since found a permanent drummer by the moniker "Christal Ballz", who is apparently non-verbal as seen in the "Tourin' the Canada" special.
* Dunham is also in a band called Don Vail, with Chris Bell (Christal Ballz) and Mitch Bowden, who played the part of the roadie "Bingo" in the "Tourin' the Canada" special. Don Vail also features Bill Priddle, formerly of popular Canadian band Treble Charger. Bowden and Priddle are also satellite members of Toronto indie collective Broken Social Scene.
* Vince Nudo, the drummer for the acclaimed Canadian band Priestess, provided drums for select tracks on the SOB album, Meatlantis.
* Jay and Trevor Ziebarth were both background zombies in the Canadian feature film "Zombie Night". Jay as Zombie 29, and Trevor was credited as Zombie 58.
* Jay Ziebarth refers to himself as "Zeebarf" or "Jay Z" through e-mails [ [http://www.zeebarf.com/ Zeebarf.Com: Kids Love The Taste! ] ] , with 'Zeebarf' being his account name on Newgrounds.
