Joel H. Rosenthal

Joel H. Rosenthal (Born April 28, 1960, in Brookline, Massachusetts) is a political scientist specializing in American statescraft and international affairs. He is the president of the Carnegie Council for Ethics in International Affairs and Editor-in-Chief of Ethics and International Affairs Journal, the international relations journal. Rosenthal also teaches in the Department of Politics at New York University.

Rosenthal received his B.A. in Political Science from Harvard University in 1982, and his Ph.D. in Political Science from Yale University in 1988.

Rosenthal resides in Fairfield, Connecticut with his wife, Patricia, and two children.
