lake inEast Lothian inScotland .It is an artificial reservoir constructed in
1819 . It lies in a gully in theLammermuir Hills , above the village ofStenton inEast Lothian . It is roughly 2 kilometres in length but less than 100 metres broad.It is one of only a few bodies of water in Scotland known as lakes; the others include the
Lake of Menteith ,Lake of the Hirsel and Lake Louise (within the grounds ofSkibo Castle ). Only the Lake of Menteith is a natural body of water.External links
