Harwood first joined the
BBC in the1980 's as a reporter.He originally presrnted
BBC Radio Gloucestershire 's Breakfast show in the early1990 's.Leaving Gloucestershire
He then left
BBC Radio Gloucestershire in1996 & joinedBBC Radio Oxford 's &BBC Radio Berkshire 's merged service,BBC Thames Valley FM as their Breakfast show host.He remained on the show until
2000 when the station de-merged & became Radio's Oxford & Berkshire once again.From then on, Harwood joined
BBC Radio Wiltshire & helped set upBBC Radio Swindon in2002 .Back to Gloucestershire
Harwood re-joined BBC Radio Gloucestershire in late
2002 & once again took over the Breakfast show. A position he held until September2005 , whenMark Cummings took over the slot.Current Work
Since September
2005 , Harwood has been heard presenting a 2 hour Sunday morning show onBBC Radio Gloucestershire . The show now goes out every Sunday morning from 9-12 noon & he celebrates the county & surprises the audience with new facts about familiar locations.In addition to that, he can heard covering for various presenters on the station & he also be heard covering presenters on
