First stint with Buccaneers
Mahan was selected by the
Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the fifth round (168th overall) in the2003 NFL Draft . In his rookie year, he made most of his appearances on special teams and made his NFL debut at theAtlanta Falcons on September 21. Throughout the next three season, Mahan played in every single game for the Buccaneers and in 2005 was part of the offensive line that helpedCarnell Williams to the NFL Rookie of the Year.Pittsburgh Steelers
Mahan was signed by the
Pittsburgh Steelers on March 12, 2007 to a five year 17 million dollar deal.
