Dame Margot and Dame Maroie ("fl." 13th century) were two
trouvère s fromArras , inPicardy ,France . The only extant work of theirs is a single debate song, or "jeu-parti " (see alsopartimen ). This song survives in two manuscripts, ["F-AS" MS 657, f.141"v" and "I-Rvat" Reg. MS 1490, f.140"r"] which each give separate and unrelated melodies. [Coldwell]References
