He played for theUniversity of Western Ontario in the CIS. While at Western, Andy lived in Essex Hall, on John St., and at 675 Richmond St. He wore number 2 at Western, and wears number 83 with the Riders.On October 14, 2007 had 240 yards of pass receiving and three touchdowns against the
Hamilton Tiger-Cats .On November 25, 2007, Andy won the Most Valuable Canadian in the
Saskatchewan Roughriders win over theWinnipeg Blue Bombers at the95th Grey Cup . Andy had 70 yards receiving and the game winning touchdown.Andy attended

Fantuz suffered a broken fibula, the smaller, non-weight bearing bone in his left leg while being tackled in the fourth quarter of July 27, 2008, 28-22 victory over the Toronto Argonauts. He could miss up to 10 weeks and Riders general manager Eric Tillman said Fantuz will "almost certainly" be placed on the nine-game injury list.
