website = http://www.lyndapage.co.ukLynda Page is a Leicestershire based author and one of the UK's top selling saga authors who has written over 20 bestselling, critically praised novels. Her novels have reached the bestseller charts of WH Smiths and The Sunday Times
Early work
Lynda first began writing during her lunch hour in the late 1980's, although she had no intention of becoming a novelist. On completion of the book, a friend sent it off to literary agent Darley Anderson who helped Lynda sign a deal with publishers Headline, which remains her publisher today. Her debut novel, Evie, was released in 1992 followed by Annie, which was the book she wrote during her lunch hours. Her next two books both had the title of the main character, before she began using popular sayings.
Style
Lynda's novels are predominantly set in Leicester and are renowned for their strong plots and characters. Her books are rich in Leicestershire dialogue and feature gritty plots with page turning twists often involving a sense of intrigue or crime. Initially, her books were set in the 20th century from the turn of the century ('At the toss of a sixpence') to the 1970's ('Josie'). During the 2000's, she found her niche writing saga's set during the 1950's and 60's, writing two books a year.
