murder trial.Character
Jeffrey Coho is a glib, fast-talking attorney whose eccentricities mirror some of those of his colleagues. While he often has the forward demeanor of
Alan Shore , there is an anger and persistence similar toBrad Chase , whom he appears to despise on the show and regularly fights (both mentally and physically). Like Alan, Jeffrey always appears to have a comeback at hand, and when he can't think of anything to say, he refers to his default phrase, which is "Go screw yourself. Do I need to include instructions with that?"He has sex with Denise Bauer while she is also seeing Brad Chase. When she becomes pregnant, Denise asks both men to take paternity tests. Brad is found to be the father, which appears to be one of the main causes of Jeffrey's leaving Crane, Poole & Schmidt. He had secretly hoped that the baby was his, in part because it would have allowed him to make up for not having spent enough time with his daughter.
In episode 2 of season 3, "New Kids On The Block", it is revealed that Jeffrey Coho has a ringtone on his cell phone in which a squeaky voice says repeatedly, "Objection! Move to strike!"
Brad Chase identifies Jeffrey Coho as a liberal.
In episode 15 of season 3, "Fat Burner", Coho resigns from Crane, Poole & Schmidt. However, he indicates that he will remain in Boston, leaving the door open for further appearances on the show.
