This included a dash and steering wheel from the top-of-the-line Falcon GT, 14-inch 'twelve slotter' wheels, a GT-style bonnet (hood) with locking pins, and GT side vents.
The car was available only in white but a choice of two accent colours (Apollo Blue or Emerald Fire), with either a 4-speed manual or 3-speed floor-mounted automatic transmission. Colour-coded front and rear bumpers were also an option, and some dealers such as Max McLeod in
Sydney (well-known at the time for theirHorn cars ) chose to add accessories like front and rear spoilers at an extra cost to the consumer.Exactly how many John Goss Specials were built remains unknown, as Ford never released actual production figures. Estimates based on media reports of the day place the number anywhere between 260 and 800 (the number most often settled on is 400), making them popular among collectors despite not gaining the press or publicity of other limited edition Falcons such as the GTHO (1969-1971) or the Cobra (1978).
