Kashdejan

Kashdejan

According to Angels: An Endangered Species by Michael Godwin, Kashdejan (variously Kasdeja or Kisdeja) "taught men cures for various diseases, including those of the mind, considered one of the worst sins." Also, she is attributed to have created abbortion, in that she "taught the children of men all the wicked smitings of spirits and demons, and the smitings of the embryo in the womb, that it may pass away."

It is worth noticing that she taught the smiting of demons, which implies that the Grigori were not always evil. Indeed, Enoch states that they fell to the lure of women after several hundred years of teaching, and began teaching them magic and evil ways, thus demonizing themselves.

It goes on to say that the first attributors to this fact came from Celtic mythology. Kashdejan is often associated with the colour red, and therefore fire. It is generally believed that Kashdejan is a female entity. No major religions or cults have been created to worship Kashdejan. In body shape, she appears to be almost human, but with a mane of hair, leading some to believe she may be related to Lamashtu, and was once of the Cherubim before her fall, for they also had the head of lions, as can be seen by the visions of Ezekial.

According to Enoch, Kashdejan was one of the original Grigori, or angels who procreated with humans, creating Nephilim, or, according to more modern sources, Nephilim themselves. Not much is known about this mysterious devil.
