Jean-Pierre Lecocq (
1947 -January 20 ,1992 ) was amolecular biologist . After working in academia (Free University of Brussels ) and industry (RIT, Rixensart) he took the scientific leadership of a new biotechnology company, Transgene SA, based inStrasbourg . He was on the ill-fated Lyon-StrasbourgAir Inter flight of January 1992 that crashed at Mont St-Odile, near Strasbourg. A scientific prize is awarded annually in his name by the Jean-Pierre Lecocq Foundation.External links
