Tristan Wilds (born Tristan Paul Mack Wilds in
Staten Island, New York onJuly 15 ,1989 ) is an actor best known for his portrayal of Michael Lee on theHBO original series "The Wire". Tristan started acting at age seven; however, it was not until 2003 that he began acting professionally. He was first seen in the mini-series "Miracle's Boys " onThe N (alongside "Wire" co-starJulito McCullum ). Wilds attended Michael J. Petrides High School inStaten Island, New York .After the show ended, he completed a workshop of Wool for The Roundabout Theatre Company, where he worked with
Phylicia Rashad , playing the role of Brice in a workshop of Stockholm Brooklyn for the Cherry Lane Theatre. Tristan has recently been seen playing oppositeRyan Gosling in the movie "Half Nelson" at theSundance Film Festival .His new main stage is on the cast of the new 90210. He plays Annie's adopted older brother. He can be seen in
Jay-Z 's newest video "Roc Boys " off the "American Gangster" album billed as "the nephew".
