Goncha Siso Enese

Goncha Siso Enese is one of the 105 woredas in the Amhara Region of Ethiopia. Part of the Misraq Gojjam Zone, Goncha Siso Enese is bordered on the south by Enarj Enawga, on the west by Hulet Ej Enese, on the north by the Abay River which separates it from the Debub Gondar Zone, and on the east by Enbise Sar Midir. The major town in Goncha Siso Enese is Gindo Weyin.

Based on figures published by the Central Statistical Agency in 2005, this woreda has an estimated total population of 156,928, of whom 79,114 were males and 77,814 were females; 6,827 or 4.35% of its population are urban dwellers, which is less than the Zone average of 10.7%. With an estimated area of 995.3 square kilometers, Goncha Siso Enese has an estimated population density of 157.7 people per square kilometer, which is less than the Zone average of 166.35.
