Evje og Hornnes ,Aust-Agder county,Norway . Hornnes is located in the traditional district ofSetesdal . Hornnes was a municipality of its own from 1886 until 1960.The municipality of Hornnes was created by the split of
Hornnes og Iveland into Hornnes andIveland on1 January 1886 . At that time Hornnes had a population of 1,113.On
1 January 1960 Hornnes was merged withEvje to form the new municipality calledEvje og Hornnes . Prior to the merger Hornnes had a population of 1,280. The church in Hornnes is an octagonal shaped building that was constructed in
1828 . Documents show that there was a church in Hornnes as far back as1327 .
