Stephen Stanislaus Woznicki (born August 17, 1894 in Miners Mill, Pennsylvania; died December 10, 1968) was the Roman Catholic bishop of the Diocese of Saginaw from 1950 to 1968. Born to Stephen and Michaline (Jablonski) Woznicki in 1894, he went to Detroit in 1907 to study at St. Mary high school and later attended SS. Cyril and Methodius College and Seminary in Orchard Lake, Michigan, and Saint Paul Seminary in Saint Paul, Minnesota. He was ordained December 22, 1917 and was first assigned to a parish in Danville, Pennsylvania.
In 1919, he was called to serve as secretary to Bishop Michael J. Gallagher of the Archdiocese of Detroit. At the age of 31, he was advanced to the rank of domestic prelate with the title of Right Reverend Monsignor, and at that time was one of the youngest monsignori in the world. He served as auxiliary bishop in Detroit for 12 years before being appointed Bishop of the Diocese of Saginaw by Pope Pius XII on April 15, 1950. He was installed as bishop at St. Mary Cathedral in Saginaw on May 24, 1950. Due to his advancing age, he submitted his resignation to Pope Paul VI in October, 1968. He died December 10, 1968.
