The station is based in Tokoroa, New Zealand and started in 2004. From the beginning the manager of the station has been Whititera Kaihau (born 1943 and died just after midnight in the early hours Tuesday Morning 14 November 2006)Raukawa Television is located in the same area as Raukawa Fm, one of the local Radio Station, in Tokoroa and is associated with South Waikato community television infrastructure.

South Waikato Community Television is a registered Charitable Trust.

Trustees are Emare Nikora and Wally Clark. Whiti Kaihau was a trustee.

The marketing manager is Tim Pita after Charlie Leaf June 2008 and cover both the Television station and the [http://ww.raukawa.irirangi.net Raukawa Fm]

Ratu Ratu is the Acting Manager of the Station from 17 June 2008.

Launch of the Station is on 13 September 2008 and coincides with the 18 year of operation of RaukawaFM.
