"The World of Strawberry Shortcake" is an animated television special from 1980, Produced by Romeo Muller, Robert L. Rosen and Fred Wolf. This is the first to feature the American Greetings character, Strawberry Shortcake.

ynopsis

"The World of Strawberry Shortcake" introduces the eponymous protagonist and her home of Strawberryland. It also chronicles the events of Strawberry Shortcake's sixth birthday. It has been released to DVD by Allumination Filmworks (formerly UAV) in March 2007.

* This special included the first animated appearances of Strawberry Shortcake, Huckleberry Pie, Blueberry Muffin, Raspberry Tart, Plum Puddin', Apple Dumplin', and the Peculiar Purple Pieman of Porcupine Peak.
* Pets introduced include Custard, Strawberry Shortcake's cat, and Pupcake, Huckleberry Pie's dog. Also featured were Lucky Bug and Escargot The Snail, and The Purple Pie Man's enormous flock of Berry Birds.
