- Andy Hayhurst
Andy Hayhurst (born
November 23 ,1962 ) was an Englishcricket er. He was a right-handed batsman and a right-arm medium-pace bowler.During a twelve-year first-class career, he played for Lancashire, Somerset and Derbyshire. An effective all-rounder, he was unfortunately unable to provide the necessary push to put him up for possible international candidacy. With an average nearing 58 in 1990, in his first season for Somerset, he had a lot to live up to and did not make such figures for the team until 1994, when he became captain of the team for the following two years.
He was dropped from Somerset in 1996, and in the same year he was to become the player/coach of Derbyshire, however, in his first match for the team he was to walk off injured. Hayhurst became first-team coach thanks to the departures of Dean Jones and
Les Stillman .He left Derbyshire under pressure from
Dominic Cork .Fact|date=April 2007 He has recently revived his Sunday League career.External links
