- Paul Havell
Paul Havell (born July 4, 1980) is an
Australia ncricket er. He is a left-handed batsman and a right-arm medium-fast bowler. He started his cricketing career at the age of eighteen in the Second XI Championship, Having played one first-class game for Sussex in 2001, after a two-year stint in the second eleven, he picked up his next first-class appearance over two years later, playing for Derbyshire. Despite a promising debut where he picked up his maiden scalp of
Graeme Smith , he was to prove too expensive as a bowler and too inconsistent as a batsman. Finishing bottom of the County Championship in 2003, Havell was out for a duck in his first county innings, playing as a tailender. He was to appear sporadically for the next two years in the County Championship, playing much more frequently in the Second Eleven. Thanks to the clear-out by boss
David Houghton , Havell was found to be surplus to requirements at Derbyshire, and was soon out of the side. Havell has represented Sussex CB in the Minor Counties trophy. He has not made a county appearance since August 2005.External links
