Lin Hatfield Dodds

Lin Hatfield Dodds (born Linda Hatfield) is an Australian social activist and currently heads two national 'peak' organisations.

Hatfield Dodds is:
* National Director of UnitingCare Australia, the peak body for social care by the Uniting Church in Australia
* President of the Australian Council of Social Service (from 2006)

She is a trained counseling psychologist and has previously worked in government and community placements, including in drug rehabilitation and with young people at risk, with a particular interest in trauma and abuse.

* Hatfield Dodds is married to Dr Steve Hatfield Dodds, an acclaimed social economist currently working with the CSIRO. They decided to blend their family names and both adopt the conjoined surname "Hatfield Dodds", which is also used by their two sons.
* She is an active member of the Uniting Church in Australia, attending Kippax Uniting Church.
* At the 2006 triennial national Assembly of the Uniting Church in Australia she was proposed into the field of candidates to be President Elect for the succeeding term.
* She has been a life-long friend of leading Australian journalist Karen Middleton.
