Maghull F.C. are an English association football club based in Maghull, Merseyside. They currently play in the West Cheshire League. In 1981–82 they reached the 3rd round of the FA Vase.

History

Maghull were founded in 1921, and Situated 8 miles north of Liverpool on the main A59 Preston Road, they played their home games at Deyes Lane, just one mile away from their present Old Hall Lane ground. Maghull were proudly one of the founder members of the North West Counties League, with which they have recently ended a 17 year association. Maghull are newcomers to the West Cheshire League Division 1, joining for the first time in the 1999-2000 season.

Maghull were North West Counties Division 2 Champions as recently as 1993, and also boast a host of other silverware such as the Liverpool County Amateur Cup, Liverpool County Challenge Cup, Lancashire Amateur Cup, Lancashire Combination Challenge Cup, Liverpool County Combination League Winners, Liverpool I Zingari League & Cup winners, Bass North West Counties Division Two Winners and Lamot Pils Trophy Runners up.

Following a fire in 1991 that destroyed their dressing rooms and Clubhouse, Maghull erected a new building, which now houses dressing rooms and a lounge bar.

The 1st team is currently managed by John Brownrigg and is assisted by Neil Marten who both stepped up from the reserve team role when Jimmy Williams resigned in September 2009, the reserve team is now managed by Brian Ward who still plays for the club.

1982-83 - Founder members of North West Counties League 1987-88 - Division Three absorbed into Division Two
1992-93 - North West Counties League Division Two champions but not promoted due to ground gradings
1999-00 - Joined West Cheshire League
2006/07 - West Cheshire League Division 1 Runners up
