Allan Saxe

Dr. Allan Saxe is a political scientist, author, lecturer, radio commentator, and philanthropist, and university professor. He was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and earned his Ph.D in political science at the University of Oklahoma in the year of 1969 [cite web

Dr. Saxe is an Associate Professor of Political Science at the University of Texas at Arlington, where he has been a faculty member since 1965. He was named Best Liberal Arts Teacher and received a Chancellor's Award for Teaching, and he won the statewide Piper Award for Excellence in Teaching. Dr. Saxe was also awarded the State of Texas Humanitarian Volunteer Award in 1992. Dr. Saxe enjoys staying active in Arlington politics and teaching various political science classes.

UTA's softball field was named after him after he donated a large part of the funds necessary for its renovation.

Dr. Saxe is a publicly professed Libertarian, and the author of a published case study on the politics of Arlington, Texas.
