The Easley High School Alma Mater is as follows:
Hail! Alma Mater, dear, may thine be naught to fear.
Thine be the strength to bear, from year to year,
Yield we our hearts to thee, spirit of loyalty,
Our love will ever be, Easley, for thee.Thine be the right alone; justly thy cause has grown;
Honor and far renown shall be thy own;
Teach us by ways to know, thy blessings to bestow;
Flushed be thy emblem's glow, Easley, to thee.Then when we drop the fight, others will bear thy light;
Lift high the "Green and White" and carry on.
Ne'er may thy creed decay, but live from day to day;
First, last, eternally, Easley, for thee!Pickens-Easley rivalry
Easley High School has a ferocious rivalry with the second largest high school in Pickens County, the
Pickens High School Blue Flame. The rivalry is arguably the fiercest rivalry is the state of South Carolina, attracting over seven thousand fans a year. The two most notable events are: 1) in the early 1920s, Easley supporters sent a hearse to Pickens "to pick up the body of a dead team." They found themselves face-to-face with the Pickens Fire Department and their hoses. The hearse did a snappy turn back to Easley. 2) In 1969, a huge knife fight occurred at Bruce Field (Pickens home field) between fans that involved the National Guard. The teams did not play each other again for 13 years. Motto: Only seven miles separate Pickens and Easley, but six feet separates winners and losers.References
